Challenges for Prayer
Pray for wise, just, and fair leaders who will help the country find a way through these very serious challenges.
Pray that corruption will be removed at its root in Nigeria. Pray for God to raise up many who fear Him, and who have the courage to fight this evil.
The fault line between Africa’s Muslim world and Christian world runs across the centre of Nigeria. Pray that wicked strategies to destroy the Church and to overthrow the democratic government would be defeated. Pray that the government would know how to defeat these plans.
Persecution of Christians continues to increase, especially in the north. Pray for believers to respond in the most Christ-like way possible. Finally, pray that the enemies of Christ who commit these terrible acts would become His followers!
Media plays a greater role than ever in communication of Bible teaching, worship music and styles, and more. Pray that Christians who work in this industry can help it become more God-honoring.
