Challenges for Prayer

  1. Pray for people to hand in their weapons and pursue peace, not lawlessness.

  2. An elected government now includes both major ethnic groups (Hutu and Tutsi). Pray for genuine respect and cooperation as these two peoples build Burundi’s future together.

  3. Pray that spirits of enmity and revenge may be bound by the power of Christ.

  4. Pray for re-opened schools and programs to meet the urgent need for Christian leaders.

  5. Pray for peoples and groups of greater spiritual need: the Burundian refugee population, Over 450,000 refugees and displaced peoples, the Muslim community.

  6. Pray for the ministries and NGOs that care for children.

  7. Pray especially for workers to live and work in neglected rural areas and pray also for millions more Bibles and Christian books in the Kirundi language.
